HTML filtering issue

Mark Tompsett
Greetings,

Find a record, change/add something like:
---- BEGIN SAMPLE ---
this
<hr>

is
<hr>

a
<hr>

test
---- END SAMPLE ---
To 500$a for that record and save it.

Now go view ‘Title notes’ in the OPAC for this record.
Ugly HTML mess.

line 717 of opac-detail.tt
Not sure how to fix. Any ideas?

GPML,
Mark Tompsett

This is how I would expect it to work. MARC isn't intended to have
HTML markup in it.

Re: HTML filtering issue

dcook
That's what I used to think as well.

Then I learned about "887 - Non-MARC Information Field"  https://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd887.html.

Not that we'd be showing 887 on the OPAC, but... MARC just has to be difficult.

Could you (Owen and David) then peruse and review bug 21947?
I don't think I tweaked anything that looked like it could have come from
887.
